Brad Schneider is the Founder and CEO of Adaptive Management. Throughout his career, Brad has focused on using alternative data to improve decision making and prediction. Brad was previously a Portfolio Manager at Tiger Management, and Managing Director at Jericho Capital, a $2bn AUM TMT-focused hedge fund. Prior to Jericho, Brad also worked at Palo Alto Investors as an equity analyst and was a co-founder and head of product development for InfoLenz, a predictive analytics company. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a CFA charterholder.
Kevin Thompson is the VP of Engineering for Adaptive Management. Prior to Adaptive, Kevin worked at Tiger Management developing high-value data sources and associated infrastructure to support the investment research process. Kevin also worked at Vulnerability Research Labs as a software developer primarily doing network security work. He began his professional career at the National Security Agency where he performed cryptanalytic research. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
Patrick Hagerty is the Chief Data Scientist for Adaptive Management. Prior to Adaptive, Patrick was the Director of Research at In-Q-Tel, developing and implementing deep learning algorithms for automating satellite imagery analysis, DNA sequencing, and cyber security. Patrick has over a decade of experience in algorithm development for high performance computing, cryptographically secure computation, and quantum computing as Applied Research Mathematician at the National Security Agency. Patrick has a Ph.D in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
Richard James is the Head of Business Development for Adaptive Management. Over his career, Richard has fostered deep relationships across the financial services industry at the executive level. He has over 17 years of sales and business development experience within institutional investment securities, most recently at UBS where he was a Managing Director leading all international equity distribution into the United States. While at UBS, Richard led multiple innovation efforts, including partnering with UBS' data science group Evidence Lab. Prior to UBS, Richard worked at ABN Amro and Commerzbank as well as founding several entrepreneurial ventures. He has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Rutgers University.
Nathaniel Cohn is the Director of Strategic Alliances for Adaptive Management. Prior to joining Adaptive he was the Managing Director of GfK Boutique Research, the alternative data business unit within GfK. He also spent over 11 years on the sell-side and buy-side as both an analyst and portfolio manager. Nathaniel has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
