Senior Software Engineers

Description

Our product team is expanding and seeking top-tier senior software engineers. We’re looking for independent thinkers that want to take ownership of parts of the stack and guide the technological decision-making of a young company.

We’re facing a variety of hard data processing problems and are looking for people excited about tackling them. Many of these problems are open-ended and the people we hire can select the appropriate tech to address them. In addition, we have a web app implemented in Python / Flask / PostgreSQL / AngularJS which needs to be expanded and maintained.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the backend for a Flask-based web app
  • Design, build, maintain, and enhance features on an AngularJS web app
  • Integrate with an existing data collection platform
  • Build HTML/CSS pages based on artist mockups
  • Work with the UX team to design new features

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of full-time software engineering experience

Senior Data Engineer

Description

We have relationships with hundreds of vendors in the alternative data space and this number will only continue to grow. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to leverage industry best-practices to spearhead the design, creation and management of our data warehouse and all related extraction, transformation and loading of partner data. 

The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in leading the review, interpretation, and on-boarding of new data sets. They will be adept at designing and implementing data management frameworks/ETL processes and will possess a deep technical knowledge and skillset.

Requirements

Responsibilities 

  • Understand the big-picture view of the company's data landscape and longer-term goals in order to develop and implement innovative Big Data architectures on AWS
  • Govern ETL Best Practices & Standards
  • Learn key vendor data sets and become proficient with extracting data from them
  • Build ETL mechanisms to onboard vendor data and publish it via existing channel
  • Develop database and API representation strategies that reflect the needs of our end users
  • Design quality checks to ensure the highest level of data quality and accuracy; finding root causes of potential issues and outliers when needed
  • Develop target data models including data policies for sensitive data assets, security policies, back-up, and recovery specifications
  • Help implement data strategy, data governance processes, and maintenance of business definitions, policies and glossaries for data assets
  • Support quality processes that ensure that the data is timely and correct as well as serve as the steward of data sets across vendors   

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of Systems Engineering Experience
  • 5+ years of design and implementation of custom data warehouse solutions
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Hands-on development mentality with a willingness to solve complex problems
  • Strong communication skills; ability to simplify complex designs for developers to code
  • Experience working on an Agile scrum team a plus

Senior Product Manager

Description

Our quickly growing team is looking to hire its first Product Manager. As Product Manager, you will be key in defining what Product Management is at Adaptive. Your primary focus will be to liaise between the business and engineering teams to represent customers in all product decisions.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will be a hands-on, detail-oriented team member whose goals are driven by customer satisfaction and the product roadmap. In this role, you will work closely with customers to conduct user research, identify product pain points, and propose new product features/improvements. Though you will not be expected to drive technical decisions, you will be responsible for creating initial mock ups, user stories and ensuring that the consumer is represented throughout the product development process.

  • Work with stakeholders to define product strategy, features, as well as long and short-term goals
  • Design mock-ups and craft user stories which effectively communicate requirements to the engineering team
  • Interface with existing and prospective customers to identify needs and opportunities for product improvement
  • Communicate customer feedback across departments and translate them into the product roadmap
  • Work cross-functionally to manage trade-offs, drive organizational alignment, and maximize business value 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Proven track record of designing, managing, and building products and features from vision to launch

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a highly iterative and rapidly evolving agile environment

Technical Recruiter

Description

We are in an exciting growth phase and seeking a Technical Recruiter to help us attract the right people for critical roles within the organization. He/she will be responsible for identifying hiring needs, advertising job openings, sourcing candidates, and managing the full-cycle recruitment process. A successful person in this role will demonstrate the ability to develop long-term recruiting strategies, nurture relationships with potential hires, and evaluate technical candidates.

  • Manage our recruitment process through Greenhouse, including screening applications as well as corresponding with and interviewing candidates
  • Participate in recruiting events, meetups and tech talks to source potential hires and strengthen employer branding
  • Collaborate with internal hiring managers across the Product, Growth and Operations teams to understand recruiting needs and develop interview processes
  • Analyze key recruiting metrics to ensure we are building robust candidate pipelines and efficiently using the right hiring channels

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical recruitment or related experience
  • 1+ year of experience leading recruitment for a fast-growing startup
  • Familiarity with different recruiting tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Greenhouse
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to collaborate as well as work autonomously
  • Extremely organized, attention to detail, with excellent time management skills
